Florida Man Faces Charges After Pizza Dough Attack

Price Of Milk Rises, Potentially Raises Cost Of Cheese And Pizza dough

You haven't seen it all until you've seen a pizza dough attack. Now, I've had roommates in the past. So, I can say that I have seen my fair share of strange behavior. But never have I ever seen pizza dough used as a weapon.

So, there's this 32-year-old Florida man, Joseph Tresselt. According to FOX35, he was just chilling in his St. Pete apartment one night, making some pizza. Now, apparently, Joe here ain't alone in the crib. He's got himself a roommate, doing roommate-type things.

But ya know, sometimes they do make sounds. Weather you want them too or not. I will warn you also, that some roommate made sounds are better than others.  But Joe, oh boy, Joe ain't feeling any of it.  So when his Roomie starts coughing, Joe starts fuming.

Pizza Dough Attack:

So, what does our man Joe do? He ain't one for just brushing it off. So, he grabs pizza dough from on the floor, and starts throwing dough around like it's nobody's business, and launches it straight at his roommate. BAM! Right in the hip, well, as hard as a flimsy piece of squishy dough can hit a sensitive roommate's hip.

Now our Florida man, Joe with the pizza dough, ain't done yet. He storms into his roommate's room like a hurricane, grabs the dresser, slams it down, yanks the drawers out, wrecking the place on his way to his own room.

So, you're probably wondering what's Joe's deal? Well, according to the police, Joe's got some voices in his head telling him how to make pizza dough chaos, and he's not in the mood for a coughing symphony disrupting his pizza vibe.

And that dresser? Well, that was just Joe venting his anger, apparently.

Pizza Dough Punishment:

Pinellas County Sheriffs Office

So now Joe is in the slammer, courtesy of the Pinellas County Sheriff. Not to mention he's facing charges of criminal mischief and simple battery. Also, his bond was set at $1,150! Damn!!

And you thought your last pizza was expensive.

The Search For The Best Pizza In Cape Coral – Gino’s Pizza

There's a lot of options, but we're looking for the best pizza in Cape Coral. And you're only going to find out if you get out there and try it. But I have a different approach. I don't tell anyone that I'm coming. I wanna know how you feed just regular people on a Saturday afternoon in Cape Coral. So that's what we did.

Pretty easy to find location at 3108 Santa Barbara Blvd., Suite 109. We chatted up the owners while we ordered and found that they'd been running the Gino's Pizza in Akron, Ohio and were relocating the business to Cape Coral. They sold their house up north and are becoming full time SWFL residents. Their first thoughts of Southwest Florida? Love the weather, hate the traffic. A pretty common response, but do they make an authentic Ohio pizza? I'm from Ohio, as are a lot of people in Cape Coral, so let's find out.

It's a small space, with seating for around 20 people, and the kitchen is directly behind the counter.

So you can see everything being made. The first thing I noticed was that they didn't use a conveyor, all the pizzas were made in the ovens. That's the first win right there, I love oven baked crust. We ordered an Ohio standard, large pepperoni sausage, grabbed a couple of pops (sodas) and had a seat.

I could have ordered ahead and picked it up, but I wanted to watch them operate. And the people coming in. Most were from Ohio. I saw an Ohio State shirt, Youngstown State, and one from Dayton. It became a running gag of "what part of Ohio are you from?" when someone came in. After about 30 minutes, our pizza was ready.

This is an Ohio pizza, in Cape Coral, Florida.

It was cut in squares. As it should be. It's definitely a thicker crust than New York Style. But not too thick. As Dave Portnoy would say, it had a "great undercarriage". The crust is crispy and doesn't sag or flop. The pepperonis curled up to collect all the flavors and juices. The sausage was blended and seasoned and various sizes were scattered across the pie.  This picture really shows you what I'm talking about.

And now the taste. The sauce has a little bit of sweetness to it. The sausage had just the right amount of seasoning. And the curled up pepperonis were exactly like they are in Ohio. Everything was right. A lot of love went into this recipe and it shows. Well done. The only negative I could find was that it's a very small operation. Hand made pizzas individually placed in ovens takes time. Word gets out, I could easily see them having to turn down business once we hit season and they really get busy. So order early. For dine in, you could even order ahead. The hours are Monday-Saturday 3-10, and Sunday 3-9. Here's their website.
