If you've ever dreamed of being on one of the most popular talent competition shows on television, here's your chance. American Idol Virtual Auditions Visit Florida tomorrow, Monday August 7th. That means if you live in Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral, Port Charlotte or anywhere in Southwest Florida, you can participate in "Idol Across America."

This is the fourth year that the show is embarking on "Idol Across America" to give more talented singers access to the audition process in hopes of getting a spot on the show. Virtual auditions are held in all 50 states, plus Washington D.C. Not only do you get to audition, but you can also get valuable feedback from the producer. You just have to be ready to go on Monday.

How American Idol Virtual auditions work

First you sign up and receive a special Zoom link. On Monday, you are in a virtual line waiting to audition. When it gets closer to your time, you will be moved into an audition room. When you see a prompt on your computer screen that reads "Join Breakout Room" that means your audition is about to begin so get ready.

Next, you'll enter the audition room on your screen and see one of the American Idol producers. Unmute your mic, answer any questions the producers has and then show them what you got. If you are singing to a track, make sure it is cued up. Finally, have another song ready to go, just in case the producer wants to hear more.
