A Punta Gorda family in Deep Creek was awakened last night when this prehistoric monster came crashing though their lanai and into the pool. According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, who wrangled this Punta Gorda monster, "A Deep Creek family was awakened by some loud noises on their lanai and came out to find this guy taking a dip in their pool. Coming in at 10'11" and weighing over 550lbs., he tore through the screen to get to the nice, cool water."

I have a question, though. You see, I have a pool and my house does back up into some woods. Do alligators prefer salt or chlorine pools?
