Glenn Aiken Admits To Robbing South Fort Myers Bank To Pay For Girlfriend’s New Tires
An arrest report shows that a man admitted to robbing Fort Myers MidWestOne Bank on Friday to pay for his girlfriend's new tires, according to NBC2.
Glenn Michael Aiken, 36, was accused of robbing the bank located at 8690 Gladiolus Dr., according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.
Aiken was reportedly seen at three other nearby banks before eventually going up to a teller at the MidWestOne Bank with a note on an envelope that said: “This is a robbery” along with instructions to put money in the envelope. The teller did as she was told and the man left the bank.
Aiken was given $960 in cash before he left, according to the report. Another teller hit the silent alarm while he was in the bank.
He is facing charges of robbery and possession of a bulletproof vest during the commission of a felony.
