Jimmy Kimmel Announces He’s Taking A Break From ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’
Jimmy Kimmel is throwing in the towel —but only for a short time. The talk show host has announced that he is taking a break from Jimmy Kimmel Live! beginning July 6. Until his break is over, a variety of different guests will fill-in to take his place.
"There's nothing wrong, I'm healthy, my family's healthy, I just need a couple of months off," Kimmel explained to fans in the clip. He also reveals that he's been doing Jimmy Kimmel Live! for 18 years and has done 3,130 shows.
Of course, coming in to interrupt Jimmy's announcement was Matt Damon. The actor gives his thoughts on Jimmy's break and reveals that he has been living in Jimmy's house during the entire quarantine.
Jimmy Kimmel will return to TV in September when he hosts the Emmy Awards. Watch his announcement video below.
