Florida Man Caught Taking out the Trash in Walmart Theft

It's not really a surprise when you hear about a Florida man caught in an idiotic crime spree. Meet Eric Slaughter, a 38-year-old who got himself busted after a not-so-slick shopping trip to Walmart in Ocala. According to FOX35, Slaughter strolled into the Walmart thinking he was real smooth criminal. He bought a trash can, but his next move is what had deputies shaking their heads. Slaughter had another trash can filled with items he hadn’t paid for, including a solar light and a pair of shoes. The total? Over $80 worth of merchandise. When deputies caught up with Slaughter, he had no real explanation. And another Florida man caught! He just kept saying he didn't know why he did it. He even had the nerve to say he had the cash to buy the items. Slaughter apologized repeatedly, calling his actions "stupid." Slaughter actually tried to pull a fast one by switching the tag on the $25 shoes with one for a 74-cent fishing bobber. Nice move, right? I bet nobody has thought of that before. He also admitted to swapping the tags and taking the trash can on purpose, but claimed he didn't realize there was a solar-powered light inside the trash. Florida Man Caught Again: Surveillance footage from Walmart showed the Florida man caught in action, leaving no doubt about his involvement. Deputies booked him into the Marion County Jail, where he could think about his trashy behavior. Now, Slaughter's no stranger to breaking the law, either. His rap sheet is just as long as other lousy criminals. This Florida man caught cases for thefts going all the way back to 2006. This latest screw up is just another chapter in his long history of not-so-genius moves. So, think of this guy the next time you’re at Walmart, and you're thinking about doing something dumb. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wM4aDxAyyiU
