It all kicks off with Black Friday, and experts say more people plan to shop in person this year than years past. Good luck in finding those great deals. And if you need help, there is an art show in Punta Gorda to help you find something unique.

It's not just about shopping this weekend. In addition, Santa Clause is officially out and about. He is making appearances all over Southwest Florida. Tuck your wish list in your pocket and get ready to make your case for being naughty or nice.

Also,  if you want a break from holiday festivities, there are things for you as well. A Southwest Florida comic con event is on the calendar. Here you can get a your fill of pop culture and more. And it's the final weekend for the Sarasota Medieval Fair.

More events are back on track following Hurricane Ian. However,  dozens have been canceled or postponed. Find out which ones by clicking here. Don't forget that events on your calendar and even those listed here can always change. We are living in a very fluid world post Ian. It never hurts to call ahead or even check the social media sites for these events to confirm.

White Christmas is the new show at Broadway Palm Dinner Theater in Fort Myers. It features all of your favorite Christmas tunes, fantastic dancing and a hot buffet dinner. Show runs through December 30th.

The ultimate pub crawl this even is Saturday night from 7-11pm. Holiday onesie attire is encouraged. Hop on the trolley and enjoy special libations at restaurants and bars in South Cape Coral. Ticket info is here.

This comic con event features all genres and some 100 exhibitors. The pop culture extravaganza is Sunday from 10-5 at the Crowne Plaza, behind The Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers. $30

South Cape Coral's Gift-or-Treat is Saturday, 12-4pm. November 26th. Hosted by the South Cape Hospitality & Entertainment Association (SCHEA), stop by a participating store or business in your holiday attire and pajamas for gifts, candy and more.

There will be a limo bus to get families around and a free Santa photo booth at the South Cape Hub (909 SE 47th Ter. #105). Find participating businesses here.

This annual event stretches along Punta Gorda's Sullivan Street. Check out a range of talented artists for free and get some holiday shopping done. The art festival is Saturday and Sunday 10-5.

Johnsonville Night Lights in the Garden is officially underway at Naples Botanical Gardens. The gardens come alive at night with brilliant lights. There are special events for families and nightly entertainment. The event runs through January 1st.

Wonder Gardens is offering photos with Santa on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m in the beautifully decorated French-styled solarium at the Wonder Gardens. For $65, each family gets 15 minutes to take as many pictures as they want with Santa. This is the last weekend for the Sarasota Medieval Fair. The 28th annual event has a new location in  the Woods of Mallarany Farm in East Myakka City. Events run from 10am -5:30 pm both Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine.
