This Florida City Is Tops For Christmas Celebrations

Christmas Orlando

This Florida City is tops for Christmas celebrations according to WalletHub and it's a short drive from Southwest Florida. Orlando! Orlando is not only the top destination in the state, but it's also number five in the nation. The personal-finance website looks at a number of factors to come up with this ranking. One of those involves shopping. That's an important holiday activity for most people. According to the data, Orlando had the most gift shops, as well as the most toy stores.

Other factors taken into consideration include the number of Christmas celebrations, events, and activities in each city. WalletHub even looks at the number of churches. Going to Christmas Eve services is a big tradition for many families. The more churches that are available, the less likely you'll have to fight for a seat. Or a parking spot. That is the theory here.

Strange but true. Miami is tops for Christmas tree farms.

Miami is the only other Florida city that showed up on the list. It came in at lucky number thirteen. Here is a fun fact about Miami. According to WalletHub, the city has the most Christmas tree farms per square root of the population. When I think of Miami I think palm trees not Christmas trees.

One more interesting holiday ranking. When it comes to working remotely for the holidays, Fort Myers actually made this list. In fact, quite a few Florida cities show up on this one.
