Southwest Florida’s Weekend Features Fall And Halloween Events

We kick off the weekend with Friday the 13th, which seems appropriate as we close in on Halloween. It's nice to know the not all of the events, really none of the events are tricks this weekend. They are all treats. Southwest Florida's weekend features lots of Fall and Halloween events but that is not all. Here are your Weekend Vibes for  October 13-15. And for a comprehensive rundown of Halloween events in Punta Gorda, Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Naples, check out this list.

At least two of the ongoing events on that list above kick off this weekend. They are the Lakes Park Fall Festival in Fort Myers and Boo At The Zoo in Naples, In addition, there are several outdoor movies scheduled for the weekend. Yes, they are Halloween themed and at least one is good for the entire family. Details below.

Southwest Florida's weekend

While fall and Halloween are beginning to rule the local roost, there are other events offering just as much fun. Music lovers will have have a good time at the ska and reggae festival Friday and Saturday in Cape Coral. The Cape is also home to a wildly popular Bike Night. That is happening Saturday as well. Finally, Octoberfest events are also underway. There are parties at Fort Myers Brewing and other spots around Southwest Florida. The huge Oktoberfest at the German American Social Club in Cape Coral opens next weekend, October 20th

Lakes Park Fall Festival in Fort Myers

This annual festival kicks off Friday. It's famous for many things including the Scarecrows in the Park exhibit. There is a Halloween Express Train Ride, hayrides, a pumpkin patch and all kinds of family fun. Prices vary.  More info here.

Moonlight Movie In The Pool

Watch Halloween themed movies while swimming in the pool at South County Regional Park in Punta Gorda Saturday. Pool closes at 5 for set up and reopens at 7. $3

Rocky Horror Picture Show

It's back for another year and bigger than ever. The classic Rocky Horror Picture Show is being shown outdoors at the Lee County Alliance For The Arts in Fort Myers. Besides the movie there will be costume contest, prizes, prop bags, food trucks and more. Bring your one chairs and blankets, but no coolers. Saturday, gates open at 6pm, movie begins at dusk. 18+

Halloween Howl at East Naples Community Park

The Halloween Themed drop off event is for the little guys and gals,  ages, 5-13. There will be lots of games, activities, dancing, pizza, and a costume contest. Friday,  6-8. $10. To register, call  (239) 252-4414.

Octoberfest Fort Myers Brewing

Fort Myers Brewing is hosting their annual Octoberfest party all weekend with an extensive line-up of music, food trucks, contests and lots of great beer. Try their new Oktoberfest beer, a traditional German-style Marzen lager. Free. More info here.

Cape Coral Bike Night

This event always draws a big crowd and it's a big party on S.E. 47th Terrace from Vincennes to Coronado. Streets are closed, a stage is set up for live music, there is food, vendors and lots and lots of cool bikes. It's Saturday from 5-10 More info here.

239 Punk Ska Reggae Fest

This two day music festival kicks off Friday in Cape Coral. Enjoy a range of music both indoors and outdoors at Rack’em Spirits & Times as well as Ollies Pub. Music begins at 8pm Friday, 5pm Saturday. Free. More info here

Annual Nam Jam

This music event is to honor Vietnam Veterans and all who have served in the US Military. It's Sunday at The Shell Factory & Nature Park in North Fort Myers from 1 a.m. – 5 p.m. More info here
