The greatest college football weekend is here! We've been waiting for October 12th ever since the schedules came out. Sure last weekend was great when Washington beat Michigan in a rematch of the college football national championship! And we saw major upsets take place when Vanderbilt beat Alabama. Arkansas beat Tennessee. Texas A&M beat Missouri. USC lost at Minnesota. And SMU beat Louisville. It was an incredible weekend that kept us on the edge of our seats.

Now it's time for this weekend's big boy slate of games!

GREATEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEKEND

There is #2 Ohio State at #3 Oregon! This game will give one team a leg up on reserving a spot in the Big Ten championship game and possibly a future spot in the college football national championship! There is also the Red River Rivalry as #1 Texas plays #18 Oklahoma in a game where these two former Big 12 teams meet for the first time as members of the SEC. Speaking of the SEC we have a top 15 matchup of Ole Miss at LSU.

This weekend's schedule will go a long way toward sorting out the contenders from the pretenders. It promises to be a lot of fun. Sadly, the weekend may also bring a necessary break from a stressful week as Hurricane Milton is steamrolling toward Florida's west coast.

We will continue to bring you a mix of real life information regarding the hurricane and some diversionary college football talk each weekday from 2-6pm with Craig Shemon and Company on ESPN Southwest Florida.
