Page Field Airport Scare as Fort Myers Man Arrested for Bomb Threat

Fort Myers man, fwas arrested after allegedly making a bomb threat at Page Field airport after complaining about noise.

Some things you just don't say. Like shouting "Fire!" in a packed theater or saying "I'm blowing up the bathroom!" while on a plane. It's the wrong choice of words, plain and simple. Take this Fort Myers man, for instance, who supposedly made a bomb threat at Page Field airport.

According to NBC2, this guy, Greg Poole, allegedly drove up to the airport base in a white Dodge pickup truck. He was upset and wanted to complain, but then he reportedly made an explosive threat, then booked it out of there.

Not the smartest move, dude. I understand being annoyed, but there are better ways to let off steam than threatening explosions. So, Greg goes up to the Page Field Airport clerks and starts complaining about airplane noise and chemicals being sprayed near his home.

Claims he tracked a plane back to the airport himself. No clue how he did that, but picturing someone chasing a plane in a pickup is kind of weird. Then, things really got nuts when he allegedly starts talking about an FBI building that got blown up and warns the clerks they're next if the plane keeps buzzing his house.

Fort Myers Man Creates Page Field Airport Scare:

And that's when this Fort Myers man really messed up. You can't go saying stuff like that, especially at an airport. Cops nabbed him later and found a shotgun, rifle, and handgun in his truck, plus ammo. No bomb, thank goodness, but still not a good scene for Greg.

Now he's facing charges. But, seriously, when are we going to learn to keep our cool? Saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, especially in places like Page Field Airport, can get you in deep trouble! Next time you're upset, you may just want to try something else.

Like maybe stomp your feet or scream and cry. You may look a little silly or crazy even. But you most likely won't end up in jail because of it.

These Are the Most Dangerous Cities in America

It's always interesting to see which cities are considered safe and dangerous in the US. It can also be helpful if you're planning a big move. Now, there's a new study out that pinpoints the most dangerous cities in America.

The new study comes from Noradarealestate.com. In it, they say, "From gang violence to high levels of property crime, these cities have earned their spots on the list." Yikes.

Before we get to the crime in each region of the country, let's look at some of the No. 1s in this study. According to Noradarealestate.com, the "FBI's most dangerous city" in the West is Stockton, California. In the Midwest, it's St. Louis, Missouri. Then, in the South, it's Baltimore, Maryland; and in the Northeast, it's Hartford, Connecticut. Noradarealestate.com notes that even though these cities are dangerous in the report, "each of these cities has also demonstrated resilience and a commitment to addressing these issues through various initiatives and collaborative efforts. By focusing on community engagement, comprehensive strategies, and investment in socio-economic development, these cities can work towards creating safer, more inclusive, and prosperous communities for all residents." So, it's not all dismal. There is definitely hope.

So, what's the most dangerous city in America? Detroit. "The violent crime index, encompassing homicides, robberies, and aggravated assaults, is alarmingly high," the study states. "The prevalence of guns and gang activity further exacerbates the issue, making Detroit a concerning place in terms of personal safety." That said, I love Detroit, and even though it's good to see which cities are trending up and down in terms of crime, remember that every city has its good and bad areas. So, don't write these towns off your list because of one study. Find the full study from Noradarealestate.com here.
