re Driving in Florida can be a challenge, with some roads worse than others, and 3 Florida highways have made a list of the most hated roads in America.

Getting in your car whether it be to drive to work, the kids to school, or to the grocery store can be a process. Here in Fort Myers, especially at this time of year, it seems the only rule of the road is that there are no rules. People are insane out there. Weaving in and out of traffic, using traffic lights as a suggestion and just overall not paying attention. I leave for work at 4:45am so that portion of the drive is relatively stress-free. But going home around 1pm is a different story. But I do know that other times of day are worse. I definitely feel for those having to drive in the typical morning and afternoon drive time's. It's rough out there!

3 Florida Highways Make List Of Most Hated Roads In America

While here in Southwest Florida, I-75 can be bad, it's WAY worse in other places. After surveying 3,000 drivers, Volvo ranked the top 100 most hated roads in the United States. 3 Florida highways made the list. You can find the full list here.

Coming in at #12- Interstate 95. If you've been to Miami, chances are you've taken this highway. And chances are you've sat in some pretty heavy traffic. At #34 on their list is US-1. If you've driven to the Keys, it's that section of the highway that people loathe based on how congested it gets, especially during season. The final highway that is on the list of the most hated roads in America is I-4. I too agree that this highway is the WORST. I don't know about nationwide, but definitely here in Florida. I'm not sure anyone who has driven to Disney or Universal (anywhere in Orlando really) who hasn't gotten stuck in this parking lot.

3 Florida Cities Land On List Of Best Places To Live In America

Florida is a dream destination for a lot of people and 3 cities here in the Sunshine State land on a list of the best places to live in America.

Growing up in Chicago, it was always my dream to one day live here. It's been almost 6 years since I arrived, first in Sarasota. I've been in Fort Myers now for almost 5 and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. You really can't beat the fact that the weather is always nice (even on these days of 50 degrees in the morning..brrr), there's SO much to do year-round and the beauty of palm trees and our beaches is something you can never get tired of. For some, it's a retirement dream and for others it's a state where you want to put down roots and blossom. I really can't imagine, now, living anywhere else.

The list surprises me, considering my love for living here, with only 3 cities in Florida included. Money put their list together looking at factors including economic opportunities, quality of live and diversity, among others. Atlanta landed in the #1 spot. 3 cities in Florida made the list coming in at #'s 9, 33 and 43. You can see the full list here.

9. Tampa

Money said Tampa is "a rare combination of action-packed and affordable". Home sales average just over $380,000. The publication said the downsides of the city include traffic and climate. (If you don't like the heat- stay out of the kitchen!)

33. Altamonte Springs

Altamonte Springs isn't a city I've visited, though it's only about 30 mins from Disney and about an hour to the beach, so it's close to a lot of fun. Definitely worth bragging about, if getting a good education is important, the area has a 93% graduation rate.

43. Sarasota

Sarasota was the city I first landed in upon moving to Florida, and I absolutely love it. Money says Sarasota is a "paradise for beach, culture and wildlife lovers". But be ready to pay. The average home price last year was over $565,000.
