Florida Is Home To One Of The Best Butcher Shops In America

USA Today's 1oBEST recently explored local butcher shops across the country to find the best ones. Specifically, they looked for those that have that hometown-friendly feel and offer expertise on their products. A Florida location was named on their list of the best of the best.

This feature explains how local butcher shops often provide great overall value where the quality of the meats is priced reasonably. "They also source their meat from local farms and ranches, which means you get to enjoy the variety and freshness of cuts that can often be made to order," 10BEST states.

The butcher shops highlighted here are located in all corners of the country. Though many of their products are similar, they each have something unique about them. These shops truly stand out in their communities as opposed to being part of a larger grocery chain. Furthermore, their common bond is that they provide an excellent and trustworthy experience to each and every customer.

This Florida establishment that was named among the best butcher shops in the country is also a full-service bar.

"We sell traditional cuts of pork, beef, and poultry, a wide variety of 100% house-made sausages, ground meats, sides, and bone broths," The Butcher And The Bar states. They are located at 510 E. Ocean Avenue in Boynton Beach.

In addition, The Butcher and The Bar was featured on season 37 of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Both the dining and the butcher shop are closed on Mondays. On Sunday there is also a brunch and a Prime Rib night starting at 5 pm.

In the butchery, there is a strong effort to source regional products. From here, you can select items to go. The butcher shop where the Butcher Plates and Craft Sandwich portion of the menu comes from. Smash burgers, shaved steak sandwiches, short rib grilled cheese and beefy nachos are all popular choices.

Located on 2727 Indian Creek Dr. in Miami Beach, Broken Shaker has fries that are so good, they even get their own line item on the menu. These are Shawarma Fries, served with Harissa ketchup. You can order them on their own or have the fries paired with any of their burgers or sandwiches. Although Broken Shaker does also have restaurants in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Madrid, their menus show a some different takes on their hand-cut fries in certain markets. For example, Los Angeles has Carne Asada fries. New York and Miami both have the Shawarma recipe.

"In terms of meaty all-American food pairings, french fries go just as well with barbecue as they do with burgers," Tasting Table exclaims. The Polite Pig is located in Disney Springs. They describe their menu by saying, "Our menu is inspired by the best seasonal food that Florida has to offer, bringing new twists to local flavors and BBQ." They serve waffle fries with a polite rub. They can be selected as a side to any dish or in a giant platter to accompany your catering order. In addition, sweet potato tots are on the menu as well.
