Austen MacMillan, a Florida kid from Palm Beach County, Florida saved a man's life from something he learned from season one, episode eight of Stranger Things. The scene was when Hopper administered CPR to Will after they found him in an alternate dimension.
Austen and his behavioral therapist were hanging out in the pool at his parent's house. The therapist, Jason Piquette, wanted to show Austen how long he could stay underwater. And that he did. Until he passed out. After awhile Austen realized something was wrong and pulled Jason from the water. He ran to the front of the house to yell for help but no one responded. He then ran back to the unconscious Jason and began to administer CPR. Just like Hopper did on Will.
The CPR the Florida kid learned from Stranger Things worked. Jason regained consciousness as Austen's dad was coming home. The dad called 911. According to a facebook post, "Macmillan visually showed how he performed CPR on his therapist, and they reported that his technique was 'exactly what is taught in CPR courses'."
Who knew that Stranger Things could help a Florida kid save a life?
