New Avelo Airlines Sale Has $49 Flights From Fort Myers

Avelo Airlines has launched a fall sale with 50% off sale for all flights in the month of September. Avelo already has discounted flights out of Fort Myers, Florida. So these new sale rates bring some flights down to as low as $49. is there a catch? Of course! There's always a catch. Let's break this down.

Avelo Airlines flies of Fort Myers (RSW) on a limited schedule with limited destinations. Three to be exact. New Haven Connecticut(HVN). Raleigh/Durham North Carolina(RDU). Wilmington Delaware/Philadelphia(ILG).  Still in? read on.

The 50% off sale is only good for the month of September. So to score these ultra cheap flights, you need to fly next month.

If this all works for you, have a look at the Avelo website and see what you can get scheduled. And here's where I did some research for you. I found flights as low as $39 going to New Haven from Fort Myers in August. August flights are $69.

Similar results for Raleigh. $39 for flights booked in August. $49 each way for September.

If you want to fly to Wilmington in August it's just $29 in August. September flights are $59. - So the new Avelo Airlines sale has prices slightly higher than their August sale? It would appear so. But even then, $49 is pretty cheap. I spent more than that having lobster rolls for lunch with my girl yesterday.

Make sure to review their carry on and checked bag policy. Those extra fees can make the price of a discount flight quickly double. So planning is key. Happy travels!

Vacations and travel are supposed to be fun right?  What could be worse then getting to your destination to find that your luggage has been lost? No one wants to wear their plane clothes any longer than they have to.

Unfortunately, it's happening all too often across the United States and apparently, especially here in Florida.

I've been a victim of lost luggage in the past and it just plain sucks.  That's all there is to it.  We spend so much time packing and planning, to make sure we've got everything we need for a trip.  Then to find out you've got nothing, and don't know when or if your stuff will ever reach you.  UGH!  Super frustrating.

With summer in full motion, the crew over at Forbes, put together a list of the worst airports in the country for lost luggage.

In order to complete the list Forbes Advisor compared the nation’s 100 busiest airports using TSA data across four metrics.

The worst airport for lost luggage isn't in Florida.  Phew! Taking the number one spot is John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.  Also among the top 10 worst were Los Angeles, Norfolk, Boston, Harry Reid in Vegas, Newark, Daniel K.
