Sneak Peak At The New High Tide Social House In Cape Coral

High Tide Opens

Last night I got a sneak peak at the new High Tide Social House in Cape Coral and boy is it beautiful. Find this new restaurant in a stand alone building at the edge of Tarpon Point Marina. For a point of reference, the Marina is the same place where you will find the Westin Hotel. The owners opened the doors for the first time last night to family and friends for sneak preview and practice run. The restaurant opens to the public today.

About High Tide

It's al fresco and there was a nice breeze coming off of the water last night. The theme is nautical chic from the décor to the menu names. The lighting is stunning, the bar seats are comfy and you can tell great attention has been paid to detail.  Open for lunch and dinner, you'll find salads, pizzas, handhelds and entrees that include everything from prime rib and Mediterranean salmon bowls to shrimp and grits.

To get to High Tide, if you are already at the marina, the docks lead to it. If you are driving, drive around the high rises to the right when you arrive. There is parking specifically for diners. Here are a few photos from my sneak peak at the new High Tide Social House in Cape Coral.

Best DIY Easter Basket Ideas

Easter is Sunday and the rush is on to get ready. To help you out, here are some of the best DIY Easter Basket ideas for TikTok Tuesday. The internet is a great place for inspiration. There are so many crafty people out there who love to share their skills and knowledge. Especially when there is a holiday or big celebration involved.

Easter baskets are a tradition found around the world. Here's how to make yours extra special this year.

Easter basket tradition

The tradition of giving Easter baskets is said to date back to medieval times. They were filled with goodies to celebrate the end of lent. In addition, they were often brought to church to be blessed. Today, the Easter Bunny gets credit for the baskets in many households with young children. But Easter baskets have no age limits. When I was in college, my mom and dad would ship a basket to me each year. It was full of my favorite candies as well as dorm room staples and supplies. It always included tooth paste as well. I'm guessing so I would be sure to brush my teeth after eating all of that candy. Haha

I'm trying to put together something fun for my nephews for Easter. It sent me on a search last night where I found these super creative, and mostly easy ideas. I've put five of them together for you to check out here. You do not have to have a TikTok account like me  to watch the videos. They play directly from this site. Simply scroll down and hit play.
