SeaWorld Orlando is offering Florida certified K-12 classroom teachers a SeaWorld Florida Teacher Card. The card provides Florida teachers with unlimited admission to SeaWorld Orlando through September 7, 2023. That's right, as often as you want. If you're a teacher all you need to do is verify that at the SeaWorld website. They use the ID.me verification, which is the same system used by the US government. So it's incredibly secure.
There's another way to get into SeaWorld for free. Be a kid. According to InsideTheMagic, "Available only for Florida residents, kids 5 and under can enjoy free admission to SeaWorld and Aquatica Orlando throughout all of 2023 with the Preschool Card. There’s never been a cooler time to be a kid! Registration for the Preschool Card ends on February 3, 2023. Then, visit SeaWorld or Aquatica Orlando by February 28, 2023. Once activated, the Preschool Card is valid for admission through December 31, 2023."
It's amazing that SeaWorld is giving teachers free tickets. Yes, there's a lot of education stuff at SeaWorld, but really, their coasters are top notch. Here's the newest one, Pipeline, opening this spring:
It's crazy how fast SeaWorld is building. And WHAT they build. Florida Teachers, have you seen Ice Breaker?
SeaWorld is really gaining on the other Orlando parks. And instead of building "theme" attractions, they're building coasters. And they'll need it. Universal is essentially doubling the size of their park with the new Epic Universe being built. And with the CEO change at Disney, expect Disney World's decline to reverse. All the major Orlando parks keep getting better. But if you're one of the Florida Teachers with kids. Nothing beats the free of SeaWorld.
SeaWorld Orlando Once Again Voted Number One Amusement Park In America
SeaWorld Orlando got more votes than any of the Disney Parks, and more votes than any of the Universal parks. For the second year in a row, in a USA Today 10 Best Poll, Sea World in Orlando beat out all the rest to claim the Best Amusement Park in the United States. According to USA Today, what set SeaWorld ahead of all the competitors was “Most famous as a marine zoological park, SeaWorld Orlando has made a name for itself in the world of high-octane thrill rides as well, including Manta – one of the only coasters of its kind in the world – and Mako, a hyper coaster with deep dives, high speeds and thrills aplenty. Young visitors can now walk down Sesame Street and interact with their favorite furry friends.”
Their polling methodology was for the editors to create a list of great amusement parks and then let their readers choose their favorite. This year, only 2 Florida parks made the list, but with very suspicious omissions. Universal Orlando and Disney did not make the top 10. And in other amusement park news, SeaWorld may look to further dominate the top 10. SeaWorld already owns the Busch Gardens parks on this list and earlier this year (2/1/2022) SeaWorld made an offer to buy Cedar Fair who own such parks as King’s Island near Cincinnati, and Cedar Point in Sandusky. Both of those parks also made this list of Top 10.
Here’s the 10 that made it. I’ve been to 4 of these on the list. How many for you?
