Bride & Groom Have Disney Characters Instead Of Food

Yes, you read that right. Can you imagine going to a wedding and instead of serving food, the bride & groom have Mickey & Minnie make an appearance?

That's exactly what Reddit user throwaway_family9525 did. She said they had the wedding of their dreams just a few months ago, but some invitees, including family members, weren't too thrilled. She posted in the "Am I The A--Hole" forum that, “The issue was with our decision to not offer catering services/bar services at our wedding due to routing the money towards having a wedding Minnie and Mickey make appearances at our special day." She said that the cost to have both Mickey & Minnie for a half hour was “almost exactly what our parents allotted for our catering budget."

Now, apparently guests were given a heads up on the invitation that there would be plenty of food options, including vending machines, at the venue, but can you imagine giving a gift, usually a check, and getting just a photo op outta the deal?!

She tried to redeem herself by adding that it was Disney official wedding Mickey & Minnie and that the wait list is 2 years long to even see the list of dates available.

Some of comments online include "You mean you’re not providing catering??? At a WEDDING??”, “I would have Venmo requested my flight and hotel expense", "They wanted gifts obviously" and "I would have had a pizza delivered and sat there eating it while giving you and the groom stink eye."

So what do you think? IS she (and her husband) the a--hole?

If you've been looking to go on a trip and have checked airfare lately, you may have noticed that prices are through the roof, but we're lucky here in Florida that four airports have made the list of the cheapest to fly from.

The U.S. Bureau of Transportation looked at the average cost of a domestic flight flying out of 45 of the busiest airports in the U.S. and found that airfares went up 18.6% in April, the largest increase since they started keeping track back in 1963.

For the list, that's based on the last quarter of 2021, the fares are based on the total ticket value that includes taxes and fees, not including optional services like seat selection, baggage fees, frequent flyer, etc.
