Salvation Army Opens Shelter For Homeless In Fort Myers

Time for some good news.

The Salvation Army opened a new shelter for the homeless in Fort Myers on January 22nd.

The shelter is located at 2450 Edison Avenue.

The need for a shelter has been a hot button issue in Fort Myers since Centennial Park closed down for renovations. Centennial Park was home to dozens of homeless people.

Lee County Commissioners worked closely with the Salvation Army to make this possible.
