Rumors have been swirling around since Disney bought 20th Century Fox in 2019. The biggest of which was about Deadpool becoming part of the MCU. This then arose the question about how Disney would handle the hard R-rating attached to the franchise.
Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige recently opened up about Deadpool 3 and what to expect:
- Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux working hard on the script with Ryan Reynolds overseeing
- Deadpool 3 will continue with an R-rating
- Filming will not begin until 2022 at the earliest
- Deadpool will officially become part of the MCU
“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now…" Feige told Collider in a recent interview "It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”
