Miami Marlins To Pause Season Due To COVID-19 Outbreak
Major League Baseball's season hit another bump in the road today, as the league announced that the Miami Marlins season is being suspended through Sunday after an outbreak of COVID-19; USA Today reports that 15 players and two staff members have tested positive.
MLB said, via their website, that the series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees set to kick off tonight has been postponed, since the Phillies recently played the Marlins. Now, the Yankees will now play the Baltimore Orioles (who were scheduled to play the Marlins this week) at Camden Yards on Wednesday and Thursday. They add that additional rescheduling during the week of August 3rd will be announced later this week.
