There are several traditional Irish foods, like fish and chips, corned beef and hash, and shepherd's pie, that are often enjoyed on St. Patrick's Day. And of course, there are also a lot of "green" foods - literally foods that are dyed green. If you want some ideas on some green food items to make for your next March 17 event, consider these.

Leprechaun Green Pancakes

Carbs are delicious. Green ones are even better. These festive pancakes are not only appetizing, but they are made with lucky charms which take them up a notch.

Pesto Pasta

Pasta isn't a traditional Irish dish, but the green makes it fun to eat on St Patrick's Day. This recipe below is vegetarian, but chicken or shrimp can be added.

St. Patty's Day Rice Krispies Treats

Marshmallows, Lucky Charms, and green dye take this sweet treat to the next level.

Green Deviled Eggs

Add just one extra step to your deviled eggs recipe to make them festive and colorful for your St. Patrick's Day gathering.

Green Fruit Salad

If you want to drink the majority of your calories on St. Patty's day and opt for a healthy dinner, this green fruit salad is a great option. It's easy to make too. You just need honeydew melon, pears, green apples, grapes, avocados, kiwi, jalapeño, lime zest and juice, honey, salt, and olive oil.
