#Gentleminions Is Over, Some Theaters Are Now Banning Teens In Suits

#gentleminions

It really started off as a wonderful trend on TikTok. As we reported over the weekend, groups of teens, sometimes as many as 40 would dress up in their Sunday best to go watch 'Minions: Rise Of Gru' in what was known as the #Gentleminions trend. At first I thought it was just another silly trend that would quickly die out until I found more about the trend. The young men dressed in suits were kids when the first Minions movie came out and for some, it may have been their favorite childhood movie. So they weren't doing anything to mock the movie, they were generally excited to go relive one of their favorite moments of childhood by seeing a sequel to what has been an amazing series of movies. So why not get dressed up, I totally get it. Until of course, some fringe idiots are ruin the #Gentleminions trend. Much of this was discovered on a Reddit post.

The trend's humble beginning

But a few people are out to ruin what was a fun trend

"In a few theaters, they were throwing bananas and other things, even ended up tearing a screen in one. There is a video somewhere of a moshpit (or close to being one) inside the theater."
