Whether you've been let go or are ready for a change, looking for a new job can be intimidating. Sometimes just knowing where to start is tough. Especially if you're looking for a major career change, sometimes just knowing what words to put in the search bar can be a challenge. But to make it a little easier, Forbes has put together a list of the best companies to work for.

It's hard to believe, maybe because I love my job, but Pew Research Center reports that only about 50% of workers say they are satisfied with their job. But I guess there are a variety of things that could be improved. Could be the commute is too long, the pay is too little, you're micromanaged, you work outside in less than ideal weather conditions. The could go on and on.

How did Forbes make the list?

Forbes worked with a market research firm called Statista. They talked to 70,000 full and part-time workers at companies with at least 500 employees across the country. Employees were asked if they would recommend their company to others. They were also asked to rate the company based on factors like working conditions, diversity, pay and more.

In the United States, the top 3 best companies to work for are Abbott Laboratories, 3M and 1-800-CONTACTS. To read the full list, click here. Below are the top 10 best companies to work for right here in the Sunshine State.
