A recent Bucs move fuels rumor of a Gronk return. A contract restructuring is fueling rumors of a return to the Bucs for Rob Gronkowski. His agent Drew Rosenhaus said he wouldn’t be surprised to see Gronk go for one last Super Bowl ring. And a reported money move by the Bucs tonight is adding fuel to the Gronk return rumor.
An Adam Schefter report that Tampa Bay Buccaneers guard Shaq Mason has made a deal that saves $6 million in salary cap space for the Bucs. The tweet has the internet buzzing tonight, and there is speculation that this could free up money to get Gronk back in the game. But Gronk has pulled this move before. In 2020 he came out of retirement to reunite with TB12 in TB.
Tom Brady spoke to Pro Football Talk about what losing Gronk means to him: “You’re missing someone that was one of the all-time greats. You can’t replace that.” Brady spoke as if he’s accepted Rob Gronkowski’s final decision to leave the game, but who knows? The Bucs season begins this weekend with a Sunday Night Game in Dallas against the Cowboys. [Source: PFT]
