Airbnb just released its summer travel highlights report today (May 11) and a few of the destinations are right here in Southwest Florida. This report compiles information on searches and bookings for summer of 2022. Airbnb also said that family bookings are at an all time high and people are looking for 'unique' spots. People are searching for less frequented destinations rather than the obvious. The bookings are also for longer periods of time then they were in years past when searching for travel destinations for summer 2022

So if you're looking for a summer vacation and want to know where this summer's hot spots are, you really don't have to go very far. According to Travel + Leisure, SWFL is well represented on the top trending summer destinations. We all say it. We live where other people vacation.

So let's also take a look at international travel as well. Keep in mind with your passport that even though there's an expiration date you should renew that thing 6 months before expiration. I've heard stories about people being refused entry not for an expired passport, but for one that's about to expire. Also, some of these countries still have covid rules in place. So bring a mask in case you need it.
