Shedeur Sanders off the Cover of College Football 25
Shedeur Sanders has had quite the off-season. Following a 4-win season with the Buffs, Shedeur Sanders has been the talk of the offseason. From a very good Spring Game (he went 16-of19 for 234 yards and 3 total touchdowns) to a public spat with an FCS player on X to dropping a rap single. That list will not include an appearance on the cover of EA Sports NCAA 25. In a surprising move EA Sports decided to leave Shedeur Sanders off the cover.
Shedeur Sanders
Not only is Shedeur Sanders one of the highest profile players in college football, he is one of the best. Say what you want about him, the kid can flat out ball. Travis Hunter is on the cover, and I understand not wanting two players from the same team on the cover. But how is a corner, who can play receiver, on the cover while you leave off the potential Heisman Trophy winner, #1 overall pick, and son of a college football legend. And that in no way is meant to be a slight at Travis Hunter. He is a spectacular player in his own right.
SEC
Maybe EA was looking to have another non-quarterback on the cover. Jalen Milroe, Quinn Ewers, and Carson Beck are all on the cover. To that I would say; take one of them off. I don’t see how they leave Shedeur Sanders off the cover. There is no reason the SEC should have 3 quarterbacks on the cover while the rest of the country gets 3 players combined.
Judkins
And while we’re looking at the cover, why is Quinshon Judkins on the cover over Trevyon Henderson? Henderson has been at Ohio State his entire career while Judkins, although great last season, just transferred into Ohio State after the season. Again, Judkins is a great player, but if Ohio State had any say in the matter wouldn’t they want they guy who’s been with them for a long time, and who is also a great player, on the cover? Who knows, these are just my observations. None of it will matter when the game drops in the summer of 2024. But it still seems odd that they left Shedeur Sanders off the cover.
