I always say that a cold beer makes everything better. For me, there's nothing like cracking open a cold beer after a long week of work on a Friday night. I guess that's not always the case. If you're the Florida man, you might be surprised to find out that not every situation calls for a cold beer after all.
According to FOX13, the police showed up all geared up and ready for action all because it was reported that someone was firing shots. However, amidst all the commotion, there was a Florida man named Brett McPeek who seemed relaxed, while casually asking if he could have himself a cold beer.
There's a video from the Port Orange Police Department that captures the moment. You hear a gunshot while an officer is talking to the man who claims his neighbor is threatening him with a gun. Then, suddenly, another shot is fired as the officer rushes to locate the shooter.
Cold Beer Confrontation:
When they eventually locate McPeek the officer instructs him to freeze and raise his hands. However McPeek surprises everyone by asking if he can grab a cold beer instead. Without waiting for approval he cracks open a cold one and informs the officer that he needs to drink it because its cold. He even checks with the cop if its okay with him.
Now, as the officers try to figure things out, they inquire whether McPeek is carrying any weapons. He denies having any on him. Admits there are guns inside his house.
Cold Beer Conclusion:
So they discovered two pistols on his land with one of them having a used shell casing. McPeek is now in trouble for brandishing a firearm and drinking while armed. You see, sometimes that one beer will get you!
Eventually, they calm McPeek down. Put handcuffs on him. It's impressive how he stayed composed in such a moment. I bet that beer tasted better after all that excitement!
The Price Of A Bud Light In All 50 States – Ranked
Inflation is hitting us all, especially when it comes to staples like eggs, butter, flour - beer. Yes, I consider beer a necessary staple. Last week we found that Florida ranks second highest state in the country for a price of a dozen eggs. Today we'll see how Florida ranks in the price of a glass of Bud Light.
Hey Joe, why Bud Light?
Because I have data - and lots of it. Untappd is a software used by nearly 20,000 retailers to publish their menus. So, they know what all of those places charge. That data was used to collect pricing data from all 50 states for a Bud Light. The ranking of all 50 states is for the average price of a 16oz draft pour of Bud Light. The national average in bars, restaurants, and taprooms for a pint of Bud Light is $4.19.
So you don't want a Bud Light? If you're ordering a draft IPA, the average price of that across America is $6.85.
This is the average. Yes, you're going to pay more for a beer if you go to the Fountainbleau in Miami compared to Peter's Sports bar in Lehigh Acres. So if you're traveling across America, here's what you can expect to pay for a 16 ounce draft Bud Light. Ranked.
