Comedian Nick Swardson is Coming To Naples After Onstage Disaster

Ouch. Now that was rough. Poor Nick Swardson . I always dreamed about being a stand-up comic, but the thought of bombing on stage has kept me from trying. But it does happen. Even for pros. Just recently, the internet was left in utter disbelief when Nick Swardson got booted offstage during a recent gig in Colorado. I mean, it was bad. Allegedly, he was really wasted, due to mixing alcohol with edibles. Oh, and to top it off, he was battling altitude sickness. It was hard to watch.

But hey, where does a guy go after bombing that badly? Apparently, the answer is Southwest Florida, more specifically, Naples. Nick's hitting up the Off the Hook comedy club starting March 14th. He's got two shows lined up for Friday and Saturday, plus a single one on Sunday. With that many chances, surely one of them has got to be a hit, right? Or, at the very least, entertaining enough to watch. Now, I've been a fan of Nick's ever since his days on Reno 911.

Awkward comedy isn't usually my thing, but my buddy Marija? She eats it up. And she's not the only one. Tickets to Nick's shows are selling fast. If you're thinking of catching him live, you better move it. Snag those tickets while you still can! You can grab them HERE before they're gone. I bet Marija does.

Honestly, it's going to be interesting to see how Nick bounces back from that whole crazy Colorado debacle. Then again, it might be good if he stays away from the booze and medicated edibles. Maybe he'll turn it into comedy gold. Who knows? All I can say is, I'm intrigued. So, if you're up for a show of unpredictability, Naples might just be the place to be come March 14th.

One of my guilty television pleasures is watching Saturday Night Live (SNL). Well, when I can stay awake that is. It's unusually cold in Southwest Florida today and there is nothing like laughter to warm a body up. To help with that, I've gathered 5 of the best laugh out loud sketches from SNL comedians for TikTok Tuesday. There are so many great ones to share, this was both had and fun to narrow down to just five.

The late night comedy show debuted in the mid 70's. Since then, great comedians have come and gone and come back again. However, some of the best in the business got their start or made their mark by being part of the SNL ensemble. It's always fun when they return to join colleagues and the newer cast members in sketches and specials. Some of these sketches and characters have been ingrained in American culture. Many have even been made into box office hits.

One of my favorite hot tub sketches from SNL was Eddie Murphy channeling Little Richard. This one is pretty good too. When two comedic greats like Jim Carrey and Will Farrell get together, the laughs are almost always guaranteed. Jim plays crazy like no one else can. Check it out.

Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon have become another great and perhaps unsuspecting comedic duo. Especially when it comes to music sketches. I had not seen this one until recently. Any Bee Gee's fans here? You will get a kick out of their attempts to hit the signature high notes.

I still sing this song in the kitchen, when I'm chopping broccoli. Seriously. It's a silly song that sticks with you. This is evidence of how something so simple, can be so funny and leave a lasting impression. If you have not heard this ditty yet, sorry. You will never unhear it. Molly Shannon is such a great physical comedian. Her characters are hilarious and Mary Katherine Gallagher is a signature. I love her. How many times have you (or have you wanted to) put your hands up and exclaimed "Superstar"? I wont ask about the pit smelling. If you have not seen this sketch, enjoy.

This one resurfaced in my feed not too long ago. I love moments when superstars take a break from taking themselves seriously. Fun fact. When Justin Timberlake was in NSYNC and Beyoncé was in Destiny's Child, the two groups toured together. These guys are hilarious with their dancing and attitudes.
