Who wants to fight a Wendy's Drive-Thru? Here's the thing. Late-night cravings can bring trouble. Once, I wanted a Slim Jim and went to a nearby 7-11 in Cape Coral after 10 PM. Got the snack, but locked my keys in the car. I needed a real Slim Jim to unlock it. Lesson learned. These things can sometimes have real consequences, as one Florida man found out during a recent Wendy's trip.
According to Fox35, Reginald Baker, who celebrated his 25th birthday on the very day of this wild story, ended up in jail after an altercation at a Reddick Wendy's.
It all went down after midnight, with deputies arriving at the scene after reports of a disturbance at the fast-food joint. There, they encountered Baker at the drive-thru window, standing outside his vehicle and showing signs of too many birthday shots.
Baker claimed he was just attempting to get his grub on and that the Wendy's employees were refusing to serve him. I assume he was a bit frustrated, it was his birthday after all. Well, Baker allegedly resorted to knocking on the window and demanding a refund for his order. Hangry maybe?
Wendy's Drive-Thru:
But then things escalated when Baker allegedly began punching the window and making threats against one of the supervisors. The situation turned physical when Baker allegedly smashed the employee's hand with the window during a heated argument.
Another Wendy's employee overheard Baker threatening violence, though she fortunately escaped physical harm. However, Baker's wild behavior didn't stop there. He reportedly continued to assault the window even after it was locked. Also, he might have spit on the window? Police said there was evidence of saliva on the glass. Gross.
Despite being confronted with the allegations, Baker denied attempting to open the window and refused to cooperate with deputies. Consequently, he was taken to Jail. Happy Birthday, Reginald.
Oh, and he got another small gift for his birthday too. He's been banned from returning to the Wendy's location where the incident occurred.
