Let’s Rock and Roll!

Rock and roll

The Kiss bassist and co-lead singer was actually born Chaim Witz in Israel.
After arriving in the US, he took the name Eugene Klein (later Gene Klein), as Klein was his mother’s maiden name. In the early 1970s, he changed his name to Gene Simmons to honor legendary rockabilly performer Jumpin’ Gene Simmons.

Let's Rock and Roll!  We've been giving away general admission tickets to Welcome to Rockville 2024 all week during our daily trivia segment.  The event takes place in May at the Daytona International Speedway.  It is our modern day version of Woodstock!  The event features over 150 bands over 4 days and includes Foo Fighters, Motley Crue, Slipknot, Limp Biszkit, Disturbed and many more amazing acts.

Rock and Roll has evolved since it started in the 1950's.  And everybody has their favorites based on their personal tastes.  Some acts were one hit wonders back in the day and others have been going strong for sixty years!  So, let's have a little fun and take a quiz with Craig Shemon and Company on ESPN Southwest Florida as we head into the weekend.  Rock on!  And Good Luck!
