Great Hack For An Old School Handwritten Note

Inside of a card with a Handwritten Note

The script in here looks neat, but not perfect. Just like it was hand written by you.

Growing up, my mom insisted I write thank you cards to friends and family who gave me gifts. It didn't' matter if they lived across the street in Florida or out of state. It is something that has stuck with me and for a good part of my adult life. I haven't stopped doing it. However, it has become a lot less often. That's one reason why I found Postable so interesting. What a great hack for an old school handwritten note. It's another Fabulous Find this week.

People have stopped sending cards and letters for a variety of reasons. One is that we almost exclusively depend on text and email to say "Thank You" and "Thinking Of You." Another, poor penmanship. The less we write, the worse it gets. This is where Postable comes in for many people. They offer a variety of fonts that really do look like you wrote it. I even found one that looked eerily like my own handwriting.

Just a few clicks on the computer and you can send one of these "hand written" cards. They even mail it for you.  As the holiday season approaches, this might be a great way to save some time while still adding a personal touch. It takes time and effort to write notes. That is one of the things that make them so special. It's nice to open the mailbox and find correspondence from a friend or family member instead of a bunch of bills and propaganda. It's special.

Here are some photos of this great hack for an old school handwritten note.
