Florida Man Attacks Walgreens Employees with Weaponized Snickers Bar

The Florida Man is at it again, and this time, he's armed with a deadly weapon. A Snickers bar! In a real-life candy caper, a 23-year-old Floridian named Idel Noy-Quesada found himself in hot cocoa... I mean, hot water.

According the the Smoking Gun, it all went down at a Walgreens in Clearwater at the ungodly hour of 1:20 AM. Now, I don't know about you, but nothing good ever happens after midnight, and this story is no exception. Mr. Noy-Quesada, strolled into Walgreens with one thing on his mind. Smoking cigarettes. But the Walgreens crew had other plans. They decided to enforce their "no ID card, no smokes" policy.

Well, you know what they say... Never mess with a man's nicotine fix! Our nicotine deprived suspect was not one to take "no" for an answer. So he decided to take matters into his own hands. In a fit of rage, like a spoiled toddler, he started flinging Snickers bars at the Walgreens employees.

Now, I'm not saying that Snickers bars are the most aerodynamic projectiles, but they sure do pack a nougaty punch. First, he took aim at a poor female employee, hitting her square in the face with one of those chocolate bricks. The poor woman was probably thinking, "I like Snickers in all but this is a little nuts."

But Noy-Quesada wasn't done yet. He had more Snickers where that came from. He turned his candy cannon on another Walgreens worker, pelting the poor guy in the chest. Noy-Quesada claimed it was an accident, but the surveillance footage told a different story. It was like a Snickers homing missile.

To make matters even more entertaining, two of Noy-Quesada's own cousins ratted him out, confirming that he was, in fact, on a Snickers-throwing rampage.

In the end, Noy-Quesada was arrested on misdemeanor battery charges and booked into county jail. They say you can't put a price on a happiness... Like the joy of a good Snickers bar. But it turns out, you can post bail with a thousand bucks.

According to the research, consumers are spending on average of about $108.62 on candy, decor and costumes this year. The same survey says just two years ago, 2021, consumers only spend $36.18 on the same items. Kind of hard to believe it was so little. A whopping 200% increase in just two years. Hey, that's what the numbers in this report say and remember, it was a small sample audience.

However, one not so surprising finding is that chocolate is king. Sweet and tart treats showed up in the top ten, but the overwhelming majority are chocolate based faves.

8 REESE'S Peanut Butter Pumpkins (1.2 oz each)
32 large pretzel twists (2-1/2 to 3 in)
1/4 cup HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Chips, HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips*
Candy eyes

Line tray or cookie sheet with wax paper. Remove wrappers from desired number of peanut butter pumpkins. For each spider, cut 8 matching curved sections from pretzels which will form the legs. Set aside remaining pretzels pieces.

Place milk chocolate chips in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at medium (50%) 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave at medium an additional 10 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chips are melted and smooth when stirred. Transfer to small heavy duty plastic food storage bag. Cut off one corner of bag about 1/4 inch from the tip.

For each spider, place peanut butter pumpkin on prepared tray. Attach pretzel legs and candy eyes to spider with melted chocolate. Allow chocolate to set before moving spiders.
