Magic Returns: Parking Trams Make a Grand Comeback at Walt Disney World
Step right up, Disney enthusiasts, because a wave of excitement is sweeping over Walt Disney World as parking trams will be making a grand comeback!
We all know as you’re driving to Orlando ready to get to Disney, the excitement is building. You drive under the “Welcome to Walt Disney World” arches and enter the parking lot. You park the car and then it hits you. Before you even enter the park, you have a long walk ahead of you just to get in. I remember when I went to Magic Kingdom a few years back with some kids and their parents. It was their first time, I couldn’t miss it. We got to the gate and they were already complaining that they were tired. It was a long day to say the least, but so fun!
But the good thing, is that those long walks to the gate will be coming to an end thanks to the return of Parking Trams at Disney World.
Back in 2020, the courtesy trams in the parking lots at Disney were suspended. They have returned to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom already, but in a Twitter Beep beep! This September, parking trams will return to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. With this update, trams will once again be available at all @WaltDisneyWorld theme parks. pic.twitter.com/ISw6PZiNJT
Not only does it help cut down on the walk time, but there’s a great feeling when you climb on board. The sight of Mickey ears, the sound of giggles from young and old alike and great photo ops before you even enter the park. It’s also a great place to strike up conversations with fellow Disney enthusiasts between what your day ahead looks like or swapping tips and tricks to make your visit that much better. It’s a fun mode of transportation that sets the tone for your day.
The trams themselves are fun and colorful, with fun conductors welcoming you to the journey. As you get closer and closer, anticipation and excitement builds and finally you reach the gate. The journey on the parking tram might be over, but the true magic is just beginning.
