According to WFLA, a seventh-grader in Hale's class expressed interest in vaping, and instead of doing the responsible thing and shutting it down, Hale allegedly said, "I have one," and let the student take a puff. And just to make sure that no one snitched, she reportedly told the class not to narc her out. Smooth move, Hale.

But alas, as with most things in life, all good things must come to an end. Another student reported the incident, and Hale was promptly escorted off campus and told to never come back. And if that wasn't bad enough, she admitted to police that she gave the kid her vape pen after being told "You have the right to remain silent." Wow. Now that was a smart move. When asked why she did it, her response was, and I quote, "I just wanted to fit in." Ah yes, because nothing says "cool substitute teacher" like sharing your vape with a seventh-grader.
In a shocking turn of events, the police chief did not mince words when commenting on Hale's actions. "You can't do this. You just can't do it," he said. "This should be common sense." Preach, Chief Capri. Preach.
As a result, Hale has been charged with child abuse, which is a third-degree felony, and was released on a $1,000 bond. The Lake County School District has confirmed that she is no longer employed with the district. We can only hope that she uses this as a learning experience and reevaluates her life choices.
