Today is Valentine’s Day and while for some it’s a celebration of love, at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa you can celebrate a split by naming a cockroach for your ex.

I’m sure we’ve all been there. The relationship is all roses, until it’s not. While breakups are never fun, sometimes it can go from bad to worse if you’re stuck picking up the pieces and cleaning up the mess your ex has made. Just the thought of a few of my ex’s makes my skin crawl.

If you have an ex has officially rained on your parade, what better than naming a cockroach after them? Today is the final day at The Florida Aquarium that you can name a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach after your ex or someone else who has put a damper on your life. Maybe you have some words for said ex, send em in! They won’t “Hiss and Tell”, but you may just see those choice words on social media. For a donation of $10, not only will you receive a commemorative certificate, but also a photo of the roach.

The Florida Aquarium also has fun digital Valentine’s Day cards with sayings like “I knew you were trouble when you crawled in”. I’m sure Taylor Swift would appreciate that one!

Valentine’s Day Movie-Inspired Cocktails

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. One of the busiest date nights of the year. However, many couples throughout the country are considering how to celebrate it with their loved one. Research shows Google searches for “valentine’s day cocktails” reached almost 10,000 searches last February. This highlights the growing trend in couples trying their hand at cocktail-making on the most-romantic day of the year. Instead of going out, impressing your loved one at home is certainly an option.

To help couples around the country, Wren Kitchens has created five delightful drinks. These drinks are inspired by the most popular romantic movies. And you can make at home. Valentine’s Day Cocktails just for this day. One of them I’m certainly going to try is modeled after one of the greatest movies in history. Princess Bride. Inconceivable, right?

Lastly, in the Methodology, Wren Kitchens used the movie websites IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. This, to find the most highly-rated Valentine’s Day romantic movies. They used the average score of the top 5 films to finalize the inspiration selection. The Casablanca inspired drink is a take on the espresso martini. A very popular drink right now. if you’re not familiar, the espresso martini is essentially the classy version of Red Bull and vodka. This was a popular drink for people who had to work at 7am and don’t want to nod off at the bar around midnight.
