Conor McGregor Cast in ‘Road House’ Remake No One Asked For

Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor is making his acting debut alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in a remake of the '80s action film Road House.

Per Deadline, "The new take [on the film] follows a former UFC fighter (Gyllenhaal) who takes a job as a bouncer at a rough-and-tumble roadhouse in the Florida Keys, but soon discovers that not everything is what it seems in this tropical paradise."

McGregor's role in the film is not known yet. However, Deadline notes he will be playing an original character and not himself.

The Road House remake begins filming in the Dominican Republic this month. The release date is not known, but the film is an Amazon Prime Video original. Of course, why there was a need to remake a glorious '80s classic like Road House is beyond reasoning. Gyllenhaal could only dream of matching the dreamy machismo of the late Patrick Swayze's Dalton! (WARNING: NSFW language and violence ahead.)

Does anyone want to see Conor McGregor in  a Road House remake?
