For Just 22 Million You Can Buy A 14 Acre Island Off Captiva, Florida

Sanibel Waived Tolls Sundays

Earlier today, we learned about George in Bonita Springs who won 25 million dollars off a scratch off. So, what would you do with that kind of money? If you just straight up don't want neighbors but still want to stay in Southwest Florida, I've found something for you. It's Buck Key, just off Captiva Island. And since Florida keeps it's taxes lower than most, property taxes are listed at only $4,692/Year. Score! It's listed by PremierSotheby's International Realty and I'll let them describe it.

"One of the last remaining buildable tropical islands in North America, Buck Key provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Located just yards across Roosevelt Channel from world-famous Captiva Island and internationally acclaimed South Seas Resort, Buck Key offers 14.13 acres of stunning land surrounded by an expansive complex of preserve land and tropical hammock. Offering historic boat access on Roosevelt Channel and the island's only boat dock, Buck Yet is easily accessible by the waterway across a popular anchorage. This pristine and unspoiled island has been studied by a land planner and has been determined to be highly suitable for development of up to nine residential units with a multitude of options. Buck Key offers stunning water frontage along Roosevelt and also the private lagoon named the Hurricane Hole. Develop your own family compound, corporate retreat, private club or wherever your vision takes you. This opportunity is as unique as the island itself."

South Seas Resort is one of my favorite places, so I know the area. Absolutely beautiful. There's a catch of course. There's nothing there. You'll need to build.

This would be the perfect island for a big time CEO to build a lair (looking at you, Elon). There's literally nothing there, put out a bunch of solar panels and a big house and it's set. You even have your own private lagoon with a short boat trip to Doc Ford's at South Seas. Doc Ford's has some amazing beans and rice. And drinks.

Plus, Buck Key is kind of a cool name. Wonder if they'll deliver mail there?
