An Estero country singer is making headlines after winning over Blake Shelton in less than 10 seconds during the blind auditions of  "The Voice."

42-year-old Ben Hughes, known as Ben Allen on stage, performed Brooks & Dunn’s “Red Dirt Road” Monday night. Three coaches hit their button for Ben including Shelton, John legend, and Gwen Stefani.

Ben chose to be on "Team Blake," after the artist called him a star.

Ben has performed at local venues, bars, and restaurants across Southwest Florida. You may have seen him at The Ranch, Fort Myers Brewing, Coconut falls, and Dogtooth.
