Online Portal For Collier CARES Launches Today To Help People Financially Impacted By COVID-19

Full-time residents and businesses in Collier County financially struggling due to the coronavirus pandemic can now receive help through the Collier Cares Relief Funding program.

The online portal opened today, Monday, Aug. 17 at 8 a.m.

CollierCARES is the program through which Collier County is rolling out the more than $67 million in recently allocated coronavirus relief funds.

This funding is part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act federal stimulus package.

Relief funding must be used on incurred expenses related to COVID-19 between March 1 and December 30, 2020, according to the Collier County website. This includes medical expenses, public health, payroll expenses for public safety and public health services, past due mortgage, and more.
