Cyberpunk 2077 Pushed Back Again After Being First Announced in May 2012

Cyberpunk 2077

One of the most anticipated games set to release in 2020, is Cyberpunk 2077. Initially announced in May 2012, Cyberpunk 2077 has yet to release. Today, June 18th, 2020, the developers announced once again that the game will not be released in September which it was scheduled for, but rather in November now. The new official release date for Cyberpunk 2077 is November 19, 2020.

“Cyberpunk 2077 is a role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt. Adapted from the Cyberpunk franchise, the game is an open world, non-linear RPG with an FPS style in which players are able to heavily customize their character to suit their play style. Gunplay, exploration, player choice, and activities such as hacking are to feature heavily throughout the game with missions, quests, and objectives being completed in a variety of different ways. The world will have dynamic weather and a day/night cycle to make it truly immersive.” (via CD Projekt RED/igdb)

After releasing the first-ever gameplay trailer in 2013, Cyberpunk had reached a whopping 12 million-plus views on YouTube by 2018. The gameplay is far from what we’ve been comfortable with, with open-world games we are playing currently. Cyberpunk 2077 is rumored to be the first game of its kind to have no loading screens throughout the whole entire game, which proves the capabilities of modern technology and the development of gaming.
