Apparently, not all sports fans are confident that the Broncos have what it takes for a successful season. An unidentified person has bet $20,000 that the team won't win eight games.
The bet, placed at the Bellagio in Las Vegas last week, was among five big-money bets placed by the gambler, the casino reports. He also bet $41,250 that the Jaguars won't score five victories; $25,000 on the Packers winning more than nine games; $25,000 on the Cowboys winning their division; and $25,000 on the Saints finishing the season at the top of their division.
Considering how much money he bet, the anonymous gambler will have to be successful on several of his wagers to come out ahead. If the Broncos win seven games or less this season, the bettor would earn $43,000 on his $20,000 investment.
