Walt Disney World Plans To Reopen Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom On July 11
Walt Disney World plans to reopen the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11, according to a presentation the company made to an economic recovery task force Wednesday.
EPCOT and Hollywood Studios would open on July 15, according to FOX13.
SeaWorld also presented its plan to the county's Economic Recovery Task Force and plans to reopen for employees as soon as June 10, and the public on June 11.
Both Walt Disney World Resort and Sea World presented reopening plans to an Orange County's recovery task force Wednesday morning, according to WESH2 News.
The parks, which have been shut down for about 10 weeks to help slow the spread of the coronavirus, were visited Tuesday by a team of officials from Orange County and the Florida Department of Health.
Orange Mayor Jerry Demings said the plans he previewed showed a few similarities to a presentation by Universal Orlando Resorts, which last week won approval to reopen to the public on June 5.
If the task force approves the reopening plan presented by Disney, it will go to the mayor, and once he signs off on the plan he will send an endorsement letter to Gov. Ron DeSantis.
