National Hurricane Center Highlights Subtropical System For This Weekend
The National Hurricane Center issued a weather outlook on Tuesday to discuss the potential for a subtropical development this weekend northeast of the Bahamas, according to their website.
The outlook included the following information, “An area of low pressure is expected to develop this weekend a couple of hundred miles northeast of the Bahamas. Environmental conditions appear conducive for this system to acquire some subtropical characteristics as it moves northeastward through Sunday.”
Since this system is expected to develop east of Florida and then move northeastward, the risk of significant impact to Southwest Florida is low regardless if it organizes into a tropical system or not, according to NBC2.
