Delta Will Begin Blocking Middle And Aisle Seats To Promote Social Distancing

Delta is making changes to the way they fly to promote social distancing. In a press release, they explain that they will block the sale of select aisle and window seats on aircrafts from now until June 30. They will also cap seating at 50 percent for First Class, and 60 percent in the Main Cabin.
They also explain, "When booking your future seat selection via the Fly Delta app or online, blocked seats will be shown as unavailable or not assignable. Customers who prefer to be seated directly next to their travel companions or who need additional assistance are encouraged to talk to an agent upon arriving at the gate. "
Along with blocking specific seats on board, the airline will also require both customers and employees to wear face coverings. In addition, they will also make a few other adjustments:
They are adding extensive cleaning measures before and after every flight.
They are adjusting the boarding process so there is more space between passengers.
They are streamlining food and beverage service, and are encouraging customers to bring their own food and drinks.
They will provide supplies like hand sanitizer and amenity kits to customers.
