American Airlines Arena Will No Longer Be Called American Airlines Arena

Miami Heat fans: meet the new arena, same as the old arena. On Monday, city officials announced that a change is gonna come.

The Heat won't be leaving the venue that's been their home for the last two decades, but it will be getting a new name soon.

According to Deputy Mayor Ed Marquez, a "nationally renowned company" will be buying the naming rights starting in January, for a term that will run through mid-2030, adding the option to renew again for another 10 years.

Meanwhile, American says they will still remain the team's official airline.
