This has to be one of those moments when a manager says "Why?" Why give a team extra motivation, beyond a chance to play for a World Series?
Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig may have done just that with the Brewers by predicting that Los Angeles would sweep Milwaukee in the National League Championship Series. Puig said: "We are going to beat Milwaukee, too. Four games." Is he right? The run differential between the Dodgers and Brewers during their 7 games this season was large. Still, the Dodgers only won the season series 4-3.
