On this day 38 years ago, there was a Bloomington chair throw seen around the world. The Indiana Hoosiers hosted their arch rival Purdue that day. IU coach Bob Knight did not like a call made by an official and threw a chair across the court. The official immediately tossed Knight from the game. The school suspended him from the following game. He later apologized for his actions. However, in addition to the three national championships he won while at Indiana, people will always remember the chair toss.
Nevertheless, Knight coached his way to one of the most successful careers in college basketball history. Therefore, despite the famous Bloomington chair throw, we will remember his stellar career during Wiki-Pete-ia today on the Shemon and Sheppard Show on ESPN Southwest Florida.
We play Wiki-Pete-ia every weekday at 4:45ish. Be lucky caller number nine and win prizes as you compete during our daily trivia nonsense. If you are not lucky enough to be caller number nine, then feel free to use the following questions (and answers!) to amaze your friends.
Also, be warned, as an IU alum, Craig may run his mouth about the Hoosiers a little bit on the show. But, as always, thank you for making Shemon and Sheppard on ESPN Southwest Florida part of your day.
