Florida has plenty of amazing places to live. Especially in Lee County. From the beauty of the beaches to the busy downtown areas, Lee County really has something for everyone. If you’ve ever wondered what would be the best place in Lee County to live, we have the answer.
Niche has released the outlet’s annual Best Places to Live rankings, which ranks the best cities and communities to live in judging by a variety of criteria. According to Niche, the results were based on several key factors, such as the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics and access to amenities. Using all of that data, they put together a list of the best for 2022.
If you're moving outside of Florida, the handful of cities at the top of the list includes Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania; City Center, California; Penn Wynee, Pennsylvania; and Houserville, Pennsylvania. That’s a lot of love for Pennsylvania.
Read on for the full list of the 15 best places to live in Lee County Florida via Niche. Is your favorite neighborhood here? I live in Estero, which comes in at number 5. Outside of the top 15 was Fort Myers at 16 and Cape Coral at 17.
If for some reason you needed to move to Michigan, Anne Erickson has compiled The 35 best Places To Live In Michigan. Some people like the snow. Not me. So let's take a look at The 15 Best Neighborhoods To Live In Lee County Florida. Starting with number 15:
This list is courtesy of Niche.
15. Fort Myers Beach
Gotta love the beach, but the tourists and traffic bring it down to number 15.
14. North Fort Myers
Go Red Knights!
13. McGregor
McGregor is my favorite road in town. I wish every road would be lined with sky-high palms.
12. Iona
Still some tornado damage, which probably kept this beautiful area out of the top 10.
11. Three Oaks
10. Lochmoor Waterway Estates
It's so close to everything, but still feels far away.
9. San Carlos Park
I've never understood how mush this neighborhood loves fireworks.
8. Cypress Lake
Most famous lately for sending students to reality shows. In a good way.
7. Burnt Store Marina
Does everyone here have a boat? I feel like everyone has a boat.
6. Bonita Springs
The new Popeye's in Bonita opened last week.
5. Estero
You know, when I moved to Estero there was only 1 mall.
4. Villas
You got the Bell Tower.
3. Sanibel
If you can afford to live here - do it.
2. Gateway
Gateway is amazing, unless you're trying to get home during minor league baseball season.
1. Whiskey Creek
Built before the cookie cutter communities invaded the town. Whiskey Creek has identity. Except for those renters who have all the gym equipment hanging from their front tree. Could probably do without that.
