Three men with died green hair and beards raising mugs of green beer, with big cheesy smiles

It seems as if the entire world is turning green this weekend. Suddenly, almost everyone is Irish, laying claim to some kind of Irish heritage even if it dates back centuries. For others, it's just a great excuse to party and have a good time with rainbows, shamrocks and leprechauns. Local bars and restaurants are serving up all manner of green food and beverages. Whether you are going out or celebrating at home, I have some DIY ideas here. To help stimulate your creativity, check out these 5 St Patrick's Day party ideas to boost your celebrations in Southwest Florida for TikTok Tuesday.

Going green on St. Patty's Day

I personally do not like green beer. In addition, I think there are some foods that should never be died green. But a green shot, green dessert, green salad, I endorse. Besides food and drink, is the massive amount of green attire. Even Floridians who are not going to a party can get behind a green tee. However, some stores are already out. I tried to pick up a new shamrock shirt at a big retailer in Fort Myers over the weekend and the choices were slim to say the least. That sent me on a social media hunt for some DIY ideas which lead to today's TikTok Tuesday post.

I found so much more than how to make some cool shirts. There were lots of decor ideas, food and drinks, yes some are green. I've got a little bit of everything here to round out your celebration. If you don't have a TikTok account, don't worry. I've made it easy to view by taking these links from mine. Fun DIY Shirts

Attire is a must when you go to a St. Patty's party. I've seem some pretty outlandish outfits. You don't have to go overboard to have a little cheeky fun or spend a lot of money. All you need is a T-shirt and some iron on decal letters for this idea. It's a good group project too.

Best Refreshing Use Of Irish Whiskey

Irish whiskey usually plays a big role in St. Patty's parties. There are so many ways to enjoy it from sipping to shooting to cocktailing. It's almost always hot in SWFL for this celebration so I like a refreshing cocktail. This one looks like it covers all grounds and it's not to difficult to execute either.

Easy St Patty's Cookies

These look so easy, and good too. Who doesn't love a good cookie? And you almost have to have Lucky Charms cereal in your celebration somewhere. Take these to a party, serve them at yours and if you have kids, let them help. It's always fun to bond in the kitchen and especially with cookies.

DIY Party Decoration

It's not fancy, but it looks festive. You only need a couple of items and you can adapt it in a variety of ways, even hang a few from the ceiling. In addition, this is another good DIY project to do with kids.

St. Patty's Shots Shots Shots Shots Shots

Shots of whiskey are a big part of many St. Patty's parties. Not a favorite for everyone. If you want to create a shot with greater appeal for you party, this might be the one. It has all of the elements. It's green, it looks festive, and it's sweet, like a dessert.
